Mont Blanc to Mont Cinto: Overview

We invite you to join Maxime Chaya (the Middle East’s most famous explorer) & Mark Beaumont (World Record Holder for circumnavigating the globe by bike) on a fabulous adventure, linking Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alps, to Mont Cinto, the highest mountain in Corsica, by ski, bike, sail, kayak and foot. Raising Funds and Awareness for the Active Earth Foundation's Middle East Peace Camp.

24 May 2008 to 7 June 2008

Max Chaya and Mark Beaumont invite you to join them on this pioneering adventure endurance challenge for all or part of this beautiful journey linking the majestic Mont Blanc in the northern-tip of the French Alps to Mont Cinto in the heart of wild Corsica.

Max, became the first Middle-Eastern explorer to complete the seven summits by scaling Mount Everest in May 2006. In December 2008, Max completed a crossing to the South Pole covering over 1100 km in 45 days self-supporting in his bid to become the first Arab to complete the “Three Poles” bringing hope and inspiration to the youth of Lebanon.

In February this year Mark Beaumont became the fastest man to circumnavigate the globe by bicycle completing it in 195 days and slashing 72 days off the previous record.

This is your chance to rub shoulders with these international charismatic explorers as they accompany you to the top of the Alps and on to the highest point in Corsica. You can join them and some of Active Earth’s facilitators to complete the whole journey or one or more of Stages 1, 2 or 3; the individual ski, cycle or sail, sea kayak and run stages.

This is not a race, but rather a journey, a beautiful but challenging journey, undertaken in good company, where the focus is on interacting with the nature that we will pass and the people that will share this unique experience of a lifetime with you.
